Oliver turns 3 months old this week. He's been standing with assistance for a while, but now he's strong enough to stand with only the couch holding him up. He's still pretty unstable, but he has enough sense of balance stay up for a few moments!

Jasper in January

We just returned from a 2-night trip to Jasper. This picture is from the first bridge at Maligne Canyon. We were hoping to do the floor walk, but the river wasn't frozen over, so no such luck. Instead, we slipped around the first two bridges before deciding it wasn't safe for me to carry O all the way down and back, and then took off.

We went to Sunwapta Falls next, and, leave it to the mountains, drove through a blizzard, some rain, and a bit of sun to get there. Since fewer people go to Sunwapta in the winter, and there was lots of fresh snow, it was a bit easier to carry Oliver around for a bit, and we ate lunch there. Then back to the hotel for a rest... and then out for supper at a family-friendly sports bar to watch Canada kick some Russian ass!

This morning we just bummed around town for a bit, picked up some candy, and headed home.

Oliver did pretty good for his first mini-vacation! We can't wait for some summer camping, though.
