Where have we been?

Good Question. I've been having all kinds of computer troubles lately, so please forgive my lack of everything.

Oliver:
Man oh man! He never ceases to amaze me. He's started to say what could be considered "words", and I swear he has Daddy and Mommy down (although he calls mommy, "monny"). He also says, on occasion, "mo" (more), "jushe" (juice), "doon" (down), "ep" (up), "no" (no), "dowantoo" (don't want to), "nana" (banana), and "dobibiwissmelibabawe" (?????).

He's eating on his own, and is usually really good at restaurants -- he'll eat almost anything, and makes faces at the girls (any girls; he's not picky) while Holly and I eat. He loves going out, as long as he can ride my shoulders, although sometimes he NEEDS to walk on his own. And once his mind is made up, it takes a minor miracle or major distraction to change it.

All in all, I think he's doing just fine. And he's a ton of fun!

Christmas:
My mom and dad came out here for a few days. Unfortunately, they arrived on the day that Holly and I were sicker than I'm comfortable describing, and Mom was unlucky enough to catch whatever fluish bug we had. On Christmas Day. Yay. Luckily, Dad managed to stay healthy, so Christmas Dinner went as planned (sortof), and Mom was mostly better the next day. We spent the rest of their time here enjoying Vancouver.

New Years:
We went to Kewlona with my parents, and hooked up with Holly's dad for an evening. My dad and I took the Mission Hill tour, and tasted some nice wines at their counter. I managed to bring back a case of wine (I know, I can buy them all in Vancouver, but it's so much more fun to buy from the wineries).

Work:
EA is great. I've adjusted to the different environment, and to having gourmet lunches most days. I can't say much about the job, except that I'm incredibly happy to be programming again.

Holly starts work in the pharmacy at the hospital in New West tomorrow. (yay!)

Also, just a bit of a heads-up. I'm changing over from flickr to Google Web Albums for posting pictures. At the moment, they are both linked to from the sidebar. Once I get most of the pictures transferred over, I'll remove the flicker links. Since Google owns Picassa, and that's what I use to manage photos, the change will make my life easier. Hopefully, it'll also mean that I can post more pictures.

Cheerio!
